NPS lists public Level 2 charging around Grand Canyon Village. That can work well during a long park visit, but arriving with adequate range gives you flexibility if spaces are occupied.

Charging at Grand Canyon National Park
The South Rim has public Level 2 charging, while the North Rim and Desert View require more careful range planning. Build the trip around the rim you are actually visiting.
Choose the rim before choosing the charger. The South Rim has public Level 2 charging in Grand Canyon Village; NPS currently lists no charging at Desert View or the North Rim.
Plan the last reliable charger before the park and the first one after it. The two rims are separate road trips, not interchangeable stops.
South Rim, Desert View and North Rim are different plans
Use the exact destination inside the park when deciding how much energy you need.
Desert View
NPS currently lists no EV charging at Desert View. If that is part of your itinerary, treat it as a drive segment from a charger rather than as a charging destination.
North Rim
NPS currently lists no North Rim EV charging. Plan the final approach and return around reliable charging outside the park, and keep more reserve than you would for the South Rim.
Build the park visit around a dependable exit
- For the South Rim, compare Williams, Tusayan and Flagstaff before entering so you know where you can charge if the in-park Level 2 spaces are occupied.
- For the North Rim, identify both your last inbound charger and first outbound charger before you start the remote approach.
- Use in-park Level 2 charging during a long visit; do not assume it will deliver a fast turnaround like a DC charger.
- Save the charger address and route offline. Cellular coverage can be inconsistent in remote areas.

Is there EV charging at Desert View?
NPS currently says no. If Desert View is part of your day, make sure the battery can cover that leg plus the drive to your next planned charger.
